Legacy Molded Composite Optical Mounting Posts
ValuMax® SPV Series Optical Mounting Posts are 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) diameter optical posts, precision molded from a composite material to provide a lightweight, but stable hold of mounted components. ValuMax optical posts and post holders are ideal for cost sensitive projects, and each posts has with two standard sized holes tapped into each end.

Features
Molded Composite Material
ValuMax® SPV Series Optical Mounting Posts are precision molded from a composite material known as Ryton® and have a 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) diameter. The composite material has an exceptional degree of thermal stability, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance.
Tapped Holes in Both Ends
These optical posts each have an 8-32 (or M4 for the metric equivalent) tapped hole in one end and a 1/4-20 (M6) tapped hole in the other. Each post is supplied with a 8-32 (M4) double-ended set screw, for joining posts together to create customizable lengths.
Available in Six Standard Lengths
SPV series optical posts are offered in six different heights between 0.75 in. (19.1 mm) and 4 in. (101.6 mm). The length of the optical posts, in inches, is included after the dash in the model numbers, with the following available: SPV-.75 , SPV-1 , SPV-1.5 , SPV-2, SPV-3 , and SPV-4. These are all also available in metric versions (which include an ""M-"" prefix in the model number).
Compatible Optical Post Holders
SPV Series optical mounting posts are compatible with 1/2 inch optical post holders like our VPH No Slip Optical Post Holders, Cam-Lock Optical Post Holders, ValuMax Molded Composite Optical Post Holders, Low Cost Optical Post Holders, and Translating Optical Post Holders.
