Cost-effective Solution with Intelligent Design

ValuMax® Series Optical Post Holders are precision molded from an insulating composite material known as Ryton® having an exceptional degree of thermal stability, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance. These post holders, as well as the ValuMax® posts, are ideal for cost sensitive mounting applications for 0.5 in. optical posts.

Unique Collet Locking Mechanism

The post holders feature a unique collet locking mechanism which allows one-handed locking and unlocking of the optical post height and orientation. This design also offers a locking mechanism with a symmetric profile, narrower than those with thumb-turned locking mechanisms. The machined-in pedestal base offers the flexibility of securing components anywhere on an optical table when using a PS-F Slotted Clamping Fork.

Available in Five Heights

VPH series post holders are available in five sizes to provide a wide variety of continuous height options when combined with the various optical post lengths. Holders are offered with 1.0 in, 1.5 in., 2.0in., 3.0 in. and 4.0 in. (25.4 mm, 38.1 mm, 50.8 mm, and 76.2 mm) lengths. These post holders also have an open bore, so that the post can be lowered completely to the table surface.

Versatile Accessories and Options

The VPHV-F model post holders include a clamping fork with the ValuMax® post holder of your choice. The optional threaded insert, VPHV-A (M-VPHV-A) , can be threaded into the bottom of the post holder to provide a 1/4-20 (M6) threaded hole for attachment directly to an optical table or breadboard, sold in packs of 10. ValuMax optical post holders are compatible with multiple 0.5 inch optical posts including Molded Composite Optical Mounting Posts, and SP Series posts.
