* Customer must have an EEPROM for the detector being used with the 835 power meter. Replacement EEPROM are no longer available.

Detector Connectors Key for Proper Compatibility

When you are in doubt whether a new power meter or a detector you purchase from Newport is compatible with the products you already have, check the connectors on the detectors and the receptors on the meter first. make sure that both are the same type. Due to the different technologies used over the history of Newport product offerings, some models are not compatible or adapters are not available.

The 818 series models with the /DB suffix come with a detachable BNC/DB15 calibration module that provides direct compatibility with Newport's current power meter offering. The models with the /CM suffix come with a detachable BNC/8-pin mini-DIN calibration module that provides compatibility with legacy Newport power meters. The standard BNC connector allows flexible interfacing with oscilloscopes, lock-in amplifiers or current meters.
