Light Source System, Xe or Hg(Xe) Lamp, F/1 UV Fused Silica Condenser, 1.5 Inch

The 66984 Xe & Hg(Xe) Research Source deliver stable, low to medium power UV to NIR radiation. It runs selected 200 to 500 W Xe and Hg(Xe) lamps. Xenon lamps emit a reasonably smooth continuum through the UV-VIS and some high intensity lines in the NIR. They are good broadband sources. Hg(Xe) lamps have the structure of Hg lamps in the UV and the structure of Xe lamps in the NIR. This sources consist of a lamp housing with a F/1, UV fused silica asphere condenser and a built-in ignitor, a OPS-A500, your choice of lamp (specify when ordering), and all necessary cables and mounting hardware. The output is a 1.3 inch (33 mm) collimated beam via a 1.5 Inch Series Flange. The aluminum housings holds the ignitor, lamp, and collecting and collimating optics. The lens has a multiplication factor of 0.11x and a 200 to 2500 nm transmittance range. A number of safety features protect personnel from dangerous UV and keep the lamp and optics from overheating. A socket adapter holds the lamp in the lamp housing. To switch between lamps, change the socket adapter. External adjustment knobs allow lamp position alignment.
