NSA12 Micro Step Actuators With CONEX™ ControllerThe CONEX-NSA12V6 miniature motorized linear actuators with 11 mm travel is vacuum compatible to 10-6 Torr, and is an ideal solution for motorizing mirror mounts, rotation stages, linear stages, and other manual motion devices. It is ideal for remote adjustment of sensitive, hard-to-reach optical components in vacuum chambers. Typical applications include optimizing the alignment of a laser cavity, zeroing in on coherence lengths, or just adjusting the pointing of a beam over a long distance.
Due to the various feed-through configurations and preferences of customers, a wire color code is included. The controller supplied with the actuator is not vacuum compatible.
NSA12 Micro Step Linear Actuators
The NSA12 series miniature motorized linear actuators come in both standard (CONEX-NSA12) and vacuum compatible (CONEX-NSA12V6) versions and are capable of 11 mm travel. These linear actuators offer an economical solution for motorizing mirror mounts, rotation stages, linear stages, and other manual motion devices. They are ideal for remote adjustment of sensitive, hard-to-reach optical components which can be influenced by the compressive and torsional forces imposed by traditional manual adjustment micrometers. Typical applications include optimizing the alignment of a laser cavity, zeroing in on coherence lengths, or just adjusting the pointing of a beam over a long distance. These actuators are integrated with a Conex controller.
Compact Stepper Motion Controller
In terms of size, the CONEX-PP motion controller is comparable to a deck of cards. Up to 3 CONEX-PP motion controllers can fit on a CONEX-BP baseplate. Both the controller and NSA 12 actuator are compact and ideal for space-confined or access-limited applications.

We also offer the CONEX-BP base plate which is used to securely mount up to 6 CONEX-AGP motion controllers to save you space and bring you convenience.

Out-of-the-box PC Control
For out-of-the box control, the CONEX controller is preconfigured and delivered with the motion device. To start moving a sample or sensor, it simply requires plugging in the power supply, connecting the USB communication and starting the free motion GUI. The integrated USB interface, provides a fast ubiquitous communication protocol. For OEM's or security sensitive applications, RS-232 and RS-485 communications are embedded onto the CONEX controller.
Simple Programming with Extensive Language Options
Advanced application programming is simplified by using mnemonic ASCII commands. Newport provides a free GUI that allows the user to access and execute over 60 intuitive ASCII commands. A managed Microsoft .NET assembly (DLL) is provided for programming custom applications in C#, Labview, Matlab, Python and other .NET compatible languages.
