Faraday Optical Isolator, High Power, 8 mm Aperture, 1030 nm Center

The ISO-FRDY-08-1030-N Faraday Optical Isolator is essentially a uni-directional light valve. It is used to protect a laser source from destabilizing feedback or actual damage from back-reflected light. This 1030 nm high power free space optical isolator is packaged in a compact cylindrically shaped magneto-optic device with a base plate for ease of mounting into an optical train. It has a 8 mm clear aperture and a 1017 to 1043 nm wavelength range. Horizontal input and 45 degree clockwise polarization output.
High Efficiency Performance
The TGG crystal utilized in our Faraday isolators creates a large Verdet constant that ultimately describes the strength of the Faraday effect and provides effective isolation of back-reflected light. Additionally, these isolators have low absorption as a function of the TGG crystal and polarizers, resulting in reliable transmission of light in the forward direction.
Easy Placement into Optical Train
These isolators are packaged in a compact, cylindrically-shaped magneto-optic device with a base plate for easy mounting into an optical train.
