1/4m Imaging Spectrograph, Micrometer Adjustable Slits, Dual Output Ports

The MS257-S-MC-D 1/4m imaging spectrograph is a completely automated instrument with the high performance and versatility to satisfy most spectroscopy applications. The MS257 is an F/3.9 instrument with a focal length of 257.4 mm. Stray light is negligible and there is no re-entrant spectra. This instrument holds up to four diffraction gratings and controls up to two filter wheels, making it ideal for extended range wavelength scans. It can be configured to switch between two input sources using the optional 77765 motorized beam steerer, further increasing its capability. Micrometer adjustable slits allow users to easily set the slit width and height for the desired resolution and throughput. The flexibility of micrometer adjustable slits means the same instrument can be used for a wide variety of applications, without the need to purchase fixed slits in multiple sizes. A micrometer adjustable slit is installed at the lateral output port, allowing the instrument to also be used as a monochromator. The dual output port configuration is also ideal for extended range scans, allowing different detectors to be installed at each port for UV-VIS and NIR measurements if the output slit is removed. Output port selection may be automated by software that controls an internal motorized flip mirror. The MS257 supports USB and RS232 communication, and GPIB with the use of optional accessory 77793. Select up to four gratings when ordering this spectrograph.
