Non-Bridging Swivel Clamp, Long Slot, Magnetic Base, 1/4-20 (M6)

The NBSC-1 Non-Bridging Swivel Clamp utilizes a ring magnet for stable, initial positioning and a non-bridging swivel clamp for flexibility in aligning to the optical table or breadboard. The NBSC-1 ring magnet is integrated into a pedestal base that includes a counterbored clearance hole for ¼-20 or M6 screws. This allows securing a fixed height 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) diameter optical post or adjustable height post holder plus 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) post to easily and quickly locate optical assemblies anywhere on an optical table. Prior to locking the swivel clamp to the optical table, the post and swivel clamp can be fully rotated 360° to allow for quickly positioning the optical assembly and aligning the slot to the closest or most convenient threaded hole in the optical table or breadboard. As the bottom surface of the post base with ring magnet and non-bridging clamp are in full contact with the underlying optical table or breadboard, there is no localized deformation of the clamp, optical table or breadboard when tightening the mounting screw. This also greatly reduces any potential optical pitch/yaw misalignment introduced due to torque effects on the slot clamping mechanism. This stainless steel Non-Bridging Swivel Clamp provides positioning flexibility with a 1.375 in. (34.9 mm) usable slot length designed for 1/4-20 or M6 screws.
