The Model MK-1 Set contains a specially selected assortment of Newport's compact and miniature positioning components for constructing a variety of systems commonly used in optics applications, including telescopes, microscopes, and spatial filters. This set has over 60 pieces and includes a 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) thick breadboard for mounting the included parts, ideal for use as an educational tool as well as in general optical applications.

Build a Variety of Miniature Optical Systems
The Model MK-1 Set contains an assortment of our popular smaller components, chosen for building complete systems commonly used in optics applications, such as telescopes or microscopes. With the included 12 in. x 24 in. (300 mm x 600 mm) breadboard for mounting the various positioning elements, a set-up is easily relocated as a single unit without needing realignment. Other components include miniature dovetail stages, optical rails, lens mounts, and a filter clamp. (Specific optics components such as lenses are available separately.) All components are kept in a specially insulated, latched wooden case with a handle.
