Newport's TA, TR, and CN Series thread adaptors cover all standard size combinations of threads for mounting optical components. Thread adaptors convert between English and Metric threads, as well as male and female, in a selection of standard sizes.

Counter Bore Nut Thread Adaptors Add Threads to Clearance Holes
The CN-Series Counter bore Nut Thread Adaptors provide 1/4-20 or 8-32 threads (M4 or M6 for metric versions) to clearance holes of the same size. Model CN-E8T-6 (CN-M4T-6) converts 1/4-20(M6) clearance holes to have 8-32 (M4) threading. These adaptors feature a slotted edge that enables tightening or removal and are sold in sets of 6.
Male-Male Thread Adaptors Convert Between Sizes & Threading Unit
The TA Series Thread Adaptors convert 1/4-20, 8-32, M6, and M4 threads to each other, available in all permutations. Each version is sold in sets of 10 thread adaptors.
Male-Female Adaptors Convert Threads to Smaller Size
The TR series Thread Adaptors convert between a larger threaded hole and either a smaller threaded hole or comparable threading of a different unit. These thread reducers can be used for general purpose needs, but model TR-E2E8-10 is specifically intended to allow post mounting of the New Focus brand Tiny Mounts. These thread reducers are tightened and loosened with a slot in the top designed for a flat-head screw driver and sold in packs of 10.
Easily Attach Mirror Mounts
TR-series thread adaptors are ideal for attaching mirror mounts. Shown here is an ULTIMA® Clear Edge mount attached to an SR-Z series magnetic pedestal.
Box Sets
The SK-TA and M-SK-TA (metric version) Thread Adaptor Sets are organized boxes of 8 different types of male-male and male-female thread adaptors, 10 of each type for a total of 80 pieces. The English unit set includes male-male thread adaptors for 8-32 to 1/4-20, 8-32 to M4, 8-32 to M6, M6 to 1/4-20, and M4 to 1/4-20. The male-female thread adaptors included convert 8-32 to 1/4-20, 8-32 to M6 and M4 to 1/4-20. This kit provides a less expensive option for stocking any optics lab.
