Quartz Tungsten Halogen Lamp, 20 W

With its smooth spectral curve and stable output, the 6319 Quartz Tungsten Halogen (QTH) Lamp is a popular visible and near infrared light source. This lamp uses a dense rectangular filament, producing high image brightness. It does not exhibit the sharp spectral peaks characteristic of arc lamps and emits little UV radiation. A doped tungsten filament is positioned inside a quartz envelope. The envelope is filled with rare gas and a small amount of halogen. Current flowing through the filament heats the tungsten; the white light produced radiates through the clear envelope. This model has an average operational lifetime of 100 hours (with a longer expected lifetime if operated at lower compliance voltages).
