Piezo Motor Mirror Mount, Absolute Positioning, Integrated Controller

The CONEX-AG-M100D is a piezo motor driven mirror mount with a built-in 2 axis, absolute angle position sensor. The absolute position sensor not only provides highly repeatable positioning, but also enables the recovery of a previously-saved position. Utilizing the proven Agilis™ piezo-motor, direct-drive technology, the CONEX-AG-M100D will hold its position even when the power is turned off. The absolute position sensor enables 0.001° closed-loop MIM and 0.01° bi-directional repeatability. In open loop, it has a 2 μrad MIM over a large motion range of ± 0.75°. In addition, RS232 and RS485 communication is available at the board level.
Closed Loop Absolute Position Adjustment
This mirror mount features an innovative miniature absolute position sensor. Within a footprint similar to the 1-in. mirror mount of the Agilis family, it offers an angular positioning capability of 0.001°, even after a system reset – this position recovery capability is a key feature of the compact CONEX-AGAP controller. Furthermore, the combination of the closed-loop algorithm with the absolute position sensor provides 0.01° bi-directional repeatability.
Fine Adjustment Performance
The CONEX Piezo mount provides ±0.75° travel on both axes with an angular open-loop adjustment sensitivity better than 2 µrad. With closed-loop positionng, minimum incrememntal motion is 0.001°.
