Multimode Fiber, Step Index, Jacketed, 500-1100 nm, 0.37 NA, 200 µm

The F-MBB-C Bend-insensitive, pure silica, cabled, step index. multimode Sensor Grade Fiber features a core diameter of 200 μm. A hard clad silica 230 μm cladding enhances the fibers’ strength and fatigue resistance. A 900 μm outer jacket, surrounded by an Aramid yarn layer and a 3 mm diameter polyurethane cable jacket, provide additional strength and environmental protection. A high NA of 0.37 allows greater coupling efficiencies, while making these fibers optimal for applications requiring tight bending or coiling of fibers.

It's typical 500-1100 nm applications include medical, industrial and avionic sensors and instruments. The operating temperature of the F-MBB-C is -40°C to +80°C.

Standard pricing is per meter. The following volume discount schedule is applied when ordering continuous lengths of optical fiber: 10 - 49 m: 15%, 50 - 99 m: 22%, 100 - 499 m: 25%, and ≥ 500 m: 28%.
