Iris Diaphragm Pack, 1 - 11 mm Aperture Range, 8-32, 10 Leaves, Qty 6
This is a 6-pack of the ID-0.5 Iris Diaphragm. The ID-0.5 Iris Diaphragm uses 10 leaves to provide a continuously variable 1 to 11 mm aperture for applications including setting the numerical aperture of a lens, controlling or measuring the intensity of a diffuse beam, or approximating beam diameters. It may also be used as a baffle to reduce spurious reflections and scattered light. Designed for smooth adjustment and the best possible aperture shape, each iris consists of an array of curved, spring-steel leaves whose orientation is determined by the relative position of two rings. A pin handle on the inner ring lets you adjust the aperture without risk of obstructing the beam path. The miniature ID-0.5 Iris Mounts in the MH-2P Optic Holders for attachment to SP and MSP Posts or Pedestals.
Continuously Adjustable Opening With Ideal Shape
For smooth adjustment and an optimal shape for the aperture opening, each iris consists of an array of curved, overlapping, spring-steel leaves that intersect into the circular opening. Up to 18 leaves adjust continuously between two supporting rings with the adjustment of a pin handle attached to the inner ring.
