Product Series Overview
UMR High Load, Single-Row Ball Bearing StagesThe M-UMR12.63 Precision Single-Row Ball Bearing Linear Stage features steel construction for high stability and rigidity. The ball bearings and precision-ground bearing surfaces provide exceptional linear travel, with angular deviation better than <200 μrad. UMR12 Series Stages have single-row ball bearings making them an excellent choice for carrying high loads up to 400 N. The moving carriage is preloaded by two springs to ensure constant micrometer contact for smooth, backlash-free motion over a 63 mm travel range. Multiple drive options cover the range of precision positioning. Standard BM Series Micrometers provide 1 μm sensitivity, while DM Series Differential Micrometers offer 0.1 μm. For position locking, an optional carriage locking kit includes a screw that mounts in the stage body opposite the micrometer. Motorized actuators can be added for precision motion control. Generous hole patterns allow great flexibility in component placement on the stage mounting surface.
MVN Vertical Stage Compatibility
UMR stages are compatible with MVN Series Vertical Stages allowing you to build XZ or XYZ stage stacks with a horizontal oriented mounting platform.
UTR Rotation Stage Compatibility
UMR linear stages are compatible with UTR Series Rotation Stages allowing you to built X or XY stage stacks with a rotatable mounting platform.
XYZ Configurations
Abundant tapped hole patterns on these stages are included to provide the most options for mounting components on the stage mounting surface. Two stages can be easily stacked to provide XY translation (except the UMR5.5). Z configuration can be assembled using the EQ Series Angle Brackets.
Adjustable System
We offer Adjustable Right Angle Brackets which allow one arm of an angle bracket to vary in length. This can be useful in adjusting the center of rotation of a UTR rotation stage mounted orthogonal to a UMR stage. It is also beneficial to simply adjust the length of one arm of a UMR stage mounted orthogonal to another UMR stage.
