SM Vernier Micrometer HeadsThe SM-13 Vernier Micrometer is a standard drive for most Newport stages, and our most popular manual actuator. The SM-13 has a 13 mm travel range and a 9 lb load capacity. The SM-13 has a 0.5 mm pitch (50.8 TPI) threads and read directly in increments of 10 µm, with vernier reading of 1 µm. This product is also available in 10-piece saving pack
Read Between the Lines
The Vernier scale allows measurement in between two of the increments on the main scale and therefore lets the user measure more precisely than what could be done by rough estimation. These micrometers have 0.5 mm pitch (50.8 TPI) threads and read directly in increments of 10 µm, with vernier reading of 1 µm.
Standard 9.5 mm Mounting Interface
All SM series micrometers have the same 9.5-mm mounting interface making them both interchangeable with other micrometers and compatible with the Newport stages listed below.
