Mid-IR Detectors
Near-IR Detectors
These photodiode detectors cover the near infrared region, 14,000 to 6,000 cm-1 (0.7 to 1.7 µm). These detectors operate at room temperature without requiring liquid nitrogen or thermoelectric cooling to achieve low noise performance. Each model features a built-in transimpedance amplifier powered by the FT-IR scanner. Gain settings are user selectable. The aspheric focusing lens position is adjustable to maximize signal. The Silicon detector version is the best choice for NIR applications from 0.7 to 1.0 µm. When compared to other Oriel® FT-IR detectors, the InGaAs detector version achieves the highest specific detectivity over its spectral range.
Mercury Cadmium Zinc Telluride Detectors
Mercury Cadmium Telluride (MCT) detectors exhibit fast response times, a wide dynamic range, and broad spectral response. A two-stage, low noise amplifier is built into the housing and requires no user adjustments. A manually adjustable iris has been integrated into the housing, which can act as a Jacquinot Stop. The iris uses standard Oriel 1.5-Inch Series male and female flanges, allowing it to be easily integrated into the FT-IR system, if desired.
