Features
Gimbal Design Minimizes Beam Translation
This gimbal mount has axes of rotation which intersect at the center of the reflective surface of the optic which eliminates unwanted linear beam translation during adjustment. This is particularly important when you don't want to lengthen or shorten your optical path length after an adjustment. This precision mount provides a center-of-rotation point located 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) above the mounting surface. A third rotational Yaw-Axis delivers precision adjustment over a range of ±5°, making the UGP-1 a perfect solution for precision alignment of 1 in. (25.4 mm) beamsplitting optics or prisms.
Optical Post Mounting
The UGP-1 mount features a clearance hole for 8-32 or M4 threads for mounting to an optical post. Mounting to PS Series optical pedestals as shown is recommended for optimal stability.

Integrated Locking Mechanism
A lockable high precision 100 tpi adjustment screw drives each axis. The aluminum knobs are hex-broached for optional use with a 5/64 (M2) Allen wrench, to provide increased position sensitivity. The integrated adjustable clamping arm provides a secure method of retaining your optics.
Mount More Than Just Prisms
With the UGP-KIT adaptors, you can mount rectangular optics, spherical optics and smaller 1/2 in. prisms on to the UGP-1 mount.
