Specifically designed to drive low power laser diodes, the LDP-3811 is a microprocessor-controlled current source with two operational modes, CW or pulsed. It offers a dual range 200/500 mA output for the flexibility to meet a variety of lower power laser diode testing needs. The standard GPIB interface with trigger in/out functions allow complete system integration with other lab equipment, and improve the accuracy, ease, and speed of data gathering and remote measurement.

Setting the Standard in Laser Diode Protection
Laser diodes are extremely sensitive to electro-static discharge, excessive current levels, current spikes, or transients from power surges or other laboratory equipment. One of the most important features we have implemented into each instrument is the ILX Lightwave proven laser diode protection standards. These standards have led to advanced protection features such as current limits for both ranges and power line transient protection. Error indicators assist when conditions occur. For more information about these protection features, please see our “Protecting Your Laser Diode" application note.
