Standard Periscopes

Standard pedestal periscopes have two fully adjustable ULTIMA^® Mirror Mounts with 45° mirror holders for 1 in. diameter mirrors for precise beam positioning. Sliding clamps on an 8 in. high stainless steel optical pedestal provide easy height adjustment, as well as a secure mounting. Extension posts are also available for building taller periscopes.

ULTIMA Mirror Mounts for Top Performance

ULTIMA Mirror Mounts used offer unsurpassed functionality. Thick front and rear plates and optimized, stiff springs improve the long-term stability and provide greater protection against vibrations. Hard carbide pads enable smooth, repeatable motion. This optical mount includes two 100 TPI non-locking actuators with knob providing ±7° of tip/tilt adjustment.

Easily Extend Height Adjustment Range

BSD periscope is built with 1 in. diameter solid stainless steel pedestail and post. If a taller beam steerer is required, simply attach a PS series extension post on top.

Quick Change Actuators

The actuators can be quickly changed to accommodate a broad selection of adjustment screws, micrometers, and motorized actuators. See compatible actuators in Accessories section below.

Compatible With ULTIMA Optic Adaptors

The 45-degree mirror holders used on the BSD-2A periscope are easily removable allowing other ULTIMA series optic adaptors to be used in their place.
