Optical Power Detector, Germanium, Amplified, Uncalibrated

The 71617 Amplified Germanium Photodetector has a built-in trans impedance amplifier. This uncalibrated 5 mm diameter Germanium detector has a broad spectral range from 700 to 1800 nm. The amplifier enables selectable gain levels from 10⁴ V/A to 10⁹ V/A. It also offers three selectable time constant settings in order to match the upper bandwidth limit of most experimental needs. The lowest noise levels are achieved by operating at the lowest bandwidth setting. This amplified model requires +/-15 V DC to operate, which the Laboratory Power Supply models 70703 and 70709 can provide.
