Calibration Module, Oriel Amplified Detectors to 1936-R/2936-R Power Meters

The 71686 Detector Calibration Modules is a BNC to DB15 interface adapter which allows any Oriel amplified Silicon or Germanium detector to function with the Newport 1936-R/2936-R Optical Power Meter family. The power meter displays the output of the detector as a voltage reading.

It may also be used with unamplified detectors (Oriel or Newport) when coupled to Oriel's model 70710 Preamplifier.

This module is not compatible with Oriel pyroelectric detectors, as these detectors require an AC (chopped) signal.

This adapter allows users to take advantage of the advanced features the Newport Power Meters provide, such as analog and digital filters, statistics, dB measurements and triggering.
