The PRF and PRR position retainers are designed for use as position index points to locate components on an optical table and allow them to be removed and inserted repeatably. The retainers have one arm with two contact points and the other arm flat, allowing precise repositioning for both round and squared-off optical components.

Fixed Position Retainer
The PRF fixed position retainer is an economic compact solution for use with optical posts and pedestals. It marks the position of the optical component and allows the component to be repositioned in the identical location repeatably. The retainer is also compatible with square components. The flat arm design ensures precise repositioning without unwanted rotational errors.
Swivel Position Retainer with Magnetic Base
The PRR swivel position retainer features the same arm design as PRF but in a swivel head for 270° rotational adjustment, providing maximized mounting flexibility in an optical system. Its base incorporates a ring magnet, holding the retainer in place prior to finding the most suitable mounting hole on the optical table and securing it with a 1/4-20 or M6 cap screw.
