Choose The Fiber You Want
It is recommended for users to determine the model number of the optical fiber they wish to configure before starting the configuration, however the configurator will also give users options to narrow the selection by characteristics of the optical fiber if the user is unsure of the exact fiber type.
Standard Fiber Patch Cables
Standard patch cables are also available in several different lengths and connector types. These can be found on a given fiber's overview page. If a standard patch cable is available after the configuration is complete, the standard patch cable is selected automatically.
Configurability Options
- Fiber Type - Select from almost all of Newport's available optical fiber
- Fiber Length - 1 to 1000 meters
- Input Connector - FC, SC, ST, SMA, LC, or 2.5 mm Ferrule (Note that SC, ST, and LC connectors are not available for fiber with the core diameter of 100 μm or larger.)
- Output Connector - FC, SC, ST, SMA, LC or 2.5 mm Ferrule (Note that SC, ST, and LC connectors are not available for fiber with the core diameter of 100 μm or larger.)
- Jacketing - ≤ 5 meters only, 900 µm loose tube, PVC jacket, SS Armored
