Single branch fiber bundles are popular for their broadband ultraviolet (UV) to near-infrared (NIR) transmittance and high throughput. With the right fiber bundle focusing lens assembly, convenient coupling to an Oriel® Research lamp housing allows the output light of an arc lamp or QTH lamp to be focused onto a smaller irradiation area.
- Broad transmittance range over UV to NIR wavelengths
- High throughput
- Three different glass type fiber bundles offered See All Features

Broad Transmittance Range Over UV to NIR Wavelengths
Single branch fiber bundles have a broader spectral range than Liquid Light Guides, transmitting from 260 to 2200 nm. Fiber bundles with glass cores constructed from glass, standard grade fused silica, and high grade fused silica are offered. A light guide should be chosen based on the wavelength range of transmittance and transmittance efficiency required.
High throughput
Compared to Large Core Optical Fibers, single branch fiber bundles have significantly higher throughput when larger filament or arc light sources are used.
