Read Between the Lines
The Vernier scale allows measurement in between two of the increments on the main scale and therefore lets the user measure more precisely than what could be done by rough estimation. These micrometers have 0.5 mm pitch (50.8 TPI) threads and read directly in increments of 10 µm, with vernier reading of 1 µm.
Designed for Vacuum Applications
Our low outgassing SM Micrometer Heads are designed for demanding vacuum environments. Several key steps are taken in the design, assembly and packaging of these parts. Following machining, each component is chemically cleaned in an ultrasonic bath to remove contaminating substances. These micrometers are cleanroom assembled using vacuum compatible lubricants.
