Manual Adjuster, High Precision, 8.0 mm Coarse Travel, 0.3 mm Fine Travel

Newport’s DS-4F High-Precision Adjuster is based on a novel principle that provides exceptional resolution with 8 mm travel adequate for most uses. High-resolution and value make this adjuster a suitable alternative for a differential micrometer in cases where the direct linear readout of a micrometer is not required. The DS-4F Adjuster employs a unique cone and cam mechanism that provides a precision mechanical advantage effect to multiply the resolution of its high-precision fine-adjustment threads. This approach provides especially smooth motion with excellent resolution and repeatability. This High-Precision Adjuster is well suited for fiber alignment applications with the 466A flexure stages or 561- and 562-XYZ ULTRAlign Stages.
20 nm Sensitivity
The DS-4F high precision adjuster is based on a mechanical lever system that provides exceptional 20 nm adjustment sensitivity. Its high-resolution and value make this adjuster a suitable alternative for a differential micrometer in cases where a direct position readout is not required. To activate the fine adjustment, the coarse adjustment needs to be locked in place with the thumbscrew.
