Overview Video
This video presents an overview of the 1919-R's multi-functionality by demonstrating a variety of measurement modes, data display methods, and advanced analytical functions.
Variety of Measurement Modes
The 1919-R offers a choice of real time or averaged measurements in watts, watts per area, joules, joules per area, or a unitless ratio against a reference value, depending on the detector type. The 1919-R provides a larger number of measurement modes, when compared to other power meter models. These include Pulsed Power value, when connected to a 919P series thermopile detector, for a pulsed laser source, and total accumulated energy (exposure) over a period of time, when connected to a photodiode or a 919E series pyroelectric detector.
Advanced Functions at Your Fingertips
The 1919-R is one of the most feature rich handheld optical power and energy meter available. With laser tuning, data logging, graphing, normalizing, statistics, user selectable display color, and mathematics functions in the power meter, one can run a complex experiment without going through a complex setup using a separate computer.
Variety of Data Presentation Methods
In addition to displaying the measurement values in the standard numerical bar graph mode, the simulated analog needle, and the line graph, one can also choose to display the real time statistical values on the screen. Pass/fail criteria can be set up to display a warning sign.
Ergonomic Hardware Design
The case is made of molded high impact plastic with optimized angle kickstand. Rubberized sides provide an easy grip of the power meter and protection against damage. The 1919-R can be operated either by battery or from an AC power supply (included) with the charger plugged in at all times. Its backlight allows illumination of the power meter in low light conditions.
PMManager Application Software
PMManager™ is a powerful application software controlling and taking measurement data. It turns a PC into a laser power multi-channel analysis workstation. The PMManager software features include: extensive graphic display of data, advanced measurement processing, data logging for future review, printing of graphs and data, and the ability to connect additional devices during active measurements. The PMManager™ software package includes the latest user manual, the COM object manual, the user command list, and automation examples written in various programming languages. For a detailed account of capabilities, please see our PMManager Tutorial.
Portable Versatility
The diverse array of measurement modes, advanced features including statistical and mathematical functions, and the ergonomic, handheld design of the 1919-R make it a valuable tool for advanced photonics R&D applications. It is easy to carry the device from one lab to another and can be used in different types of experiments.
