Pedestal Base Adapters
These stainless steel pedestal base adapters attach to the bottom of 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) diameter optical post holders, 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) diameter optical posts and extensions, or compact mirror mounts so that they may be mounted anywhere on an optical table or breadboard with a clamping fork. Some of these adapters also feature a centered magnet with a 5 lb. (22 N) hold to offer much easier alignment and clamping of optical mounts.

Features
Base Adapter for Pedestal Clamping
All models (except 9904 and 9970) are able to adapt 0.5 in. post holders and 1.0 in. PS-T optical posts to clamp to surfaces with a fork for more flexibility in mounting to optical tables or equivalent surfaces. PS-A and PS-AZ have a 0.19 in. (4.8 mm) height with an integrated 1/4-20 (M6) screw for direct attachment. Model 9959NF and 9959-M have a 1/4-20 (M6) threaded hole on top and an 8-32 (M4) threaded hole below. Model 9910, PS-B-0.5 and PS-B-1 feature a clearance hole suitable for 1/4-20 (M6) cap screw.
Model 9904 with an 8-32 threaded hole on top and a magnet located in the base is compatible with 1.0 in. PS-E optical extension posts (metric post requires TA-8M4-10 thread adapter) and majority of optic mounts.
Model 9970 features a threaded 2-56 hole on the top for mounting Suprema® mirror mounts (SN050 or SS050 series) or our Tiny™ mirror mounts (987X or 976X series) directly on optical table with a standard clamping fork. The 8-32 threaded hole at bottom allows it to be used with other posts and pedestals.
Magnetic Bases for Faster and Easier Alignment
Magnetic Pedestal Bases (M-) PS-AZ and 9904 feature a centered magnet on their 1.25 in. (31.8 mm) diameter bottom to offer much easier alignment and clamping of optical mounts to optical posts and rods quickly and easily. The stable 5 lb. (22 N) hold helps prevent unwanted misalignments while clamping the base to its surface. This also allows more secure holds for rough alignments of multiple or temporary components to speed up fine alignment processes.
