The BPH Series Slotted-Base Post Holder is a patent pending, re-invention of standard optical post holder designs. The slim, all-aluminum construction features an integrated slotted base that allows edge-to-edge mounting of adjacent post holders. Additionally, the top surface of the post holder contains kinematic indentations to provide repeatable rotational alignment with 45° increment indexing to 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) optical posts such as the SP Series when used with the

Features
Non-Bridging Base Does Not Bend Mounting Surface
The flat bottom of the BPH's slotted base prevents the optical table mounting surface from the localized bending that typically occurs with fork-clamp mounted pedestal posts. In this way, stresses will not be induced into the skin of the optical table, making it more stable.
Integrated Slotted Base Design
The integrated slotted bases of these post holders features both angled and straight reference surfaces and allow edge-to-edge mounting of adjacent post holders. With the addition of the BPH-XB-5 Base Extender, the slotted bases can convert to a double-slotted base for more flexibility in mounting to optical surfaces.
Repeatable Angular Positioning
The top surface of the BPH post holder has a series of kinematic indentations which, when used with the BPH-C-5 Post Collar, provide repeatable rotational alignment and indexing at 45-degree increments.
Two-Line Contact for Greater Stability
By using precision machining techniques to remove a small portion of the interior surface opposite the set screw of our BPH Series Slotted-Base optical post holder, two lines of contact are created with a post when it is pushed in by the screw. These two lines of contact provide greater stability compared to a post held in place against another circular surface.
Magnetic Base Versions and Multiple Size Options
Post holders are available with heights of 1.0 in, 2.0in., 3.0 in. and 4.0 in. Each is offered with or without magnetic bases that provide additional ease in alignment and mounting of optical components. Cost-saving pack of 10 post holders are also available in each size while collars (BPH-C-5) and base adapters (BPH-XB-5) are sold in packs of 5. Post and Post Holder Combo Packs including one post of each size and four sizes of SP-series stainless steel optical posts provide a great starting set or stock for an optics lab.
