Our 19 mm Miniature Optical Rails & Carriers are an incredibly versatile, compact set of components ideal for modular building of custom optical systems. Precision dovetail rails are available in seven different lengths and combine with spacers and three styles of carriers for mounting and aligning components in all three dimensions.

Low Profile Dovetail Design
These 19 mm miniature optical rails and carriers provide smooth carrier translation and wobble free clamp down with a precision dovetail design measuring just 0.375 in. (9.50 mm) high each. The dovetail construction allows components to be quickly attached, aligned, and rigidly held anywhere along the rail.
Six Standard Rail Lengths or Extend as Desired
Miniature optical rails are available in six different standard lengths from 1.5 to 24. in. (37.0 - 600 mm) and attach easily together end-to-end to form custom lengths.
Interconnecting link on MRL-6M and MRL-12M allows any length to be rigidly assembled in multiples of 6 or 12 in.
Three Versatile Rail Carrier Options
Miniature rail carriers can be positioned anywhere along an optical rail without removing other components with a simple snap down motion once the locking screw is released. Spring-loaded, hard polymer guides along the carriers' mating surfaces provide wobble free sliding motion and dependable linear alignment. They are tightened after realignment for a creep-free clamp down. MCC Mini Rail Channel Carriers have guide channels cut into the top surface to square-up the rail prior to mounting via the 8-32 (M4) clearance hole. The MCD Mini Rail Dovetail Carriers have a smooth dovetail mounting surface running perpendicular to the mounted direction. The MCF Mini Rail Flat Carriers have M6 clearance holes with 1/4-20 threads for mounting components to the surface.
Spacers for 3D Assemblies
With SS-2 Spacers three-dimensional structures, like beam steering devices, are easily assembled. The set includes 5 spacers.
